Our sixth annual Chocolate Soiree will be in Richmond KY! Our annual membership drive and networking event will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Doors open at 6pm.

Professional women and women business owners are invited for a fun night of networking, door prizes, giveaways, interesting presentations, light refreshments and of course … CHOCOLATE!
Come meet local business women and learn more about Business Babes Society and what they are doing to support small business in our community. $5 registration fee and free parking. Don’t miss it and bring a friend . Pre-registration is required because space is limited.
This event is also open to anyone in business, male or female, that would like to learn more about Business Babes Society and get information on how you can be a sponsor. Sponsors help us to be able to do more within the community.

About the Presentation:
Maneuvering the Pot Holes: Finding Your Way in Business & Work: Janet will discuss the importance of attitude, vision, taking risks, and building your team.
About our Guest Speaker:
Janet Holloway started out as a H.S. English/Spanish teacher, left to take odd jobs in NYC theatre, became a group counselor in East Harlem, moved into community organizing and substance abuse education, then to small business development. Former state director of the NJ Small Business Development Center network, then the state director for the Kentucky SBDC network, she left UK in 1999 to start Women Leading KY. A Willful Child, published in 2012, tells of her erratic/dysfunctional life growing up in WV, Virginia and Florida. She is completing a second memoir of her adult life and expects it to be published this year.
She received her B.A. from Marshall University, an MSW from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and is ABD from Columbia University. She lives in Lexington KY with her rescued Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sadie. Janet is an avid reader, arts supporter, and committed to collaboration and diversity in her work.
