September is a busy month for Business Babes Society:

September 1st: Unwind & Mastermind at Cafe Meeples in Richmond with facilitator, Cindy Teague Kelly about Growing your Retail Business and Home Based Business. Her topic will be "Growing your Retail Business & Home Based Business". Cindy will be discussing transitions in Our Businesses.  

Cindy explains:  "This could sound a little boring but I have some great tips I have discovered to make your home-based business the most credible it can be to your customers and making changes smoothly in both store-fronts and home-based!" All are invited to our Unwind & Mastermind sessions for the remainder of the year so you can experience the support and professional development our group provides to our members and sponsors.

September 3rd: Business Babes will be an exhibitor at Women Leading Kentucky roundtable in EKU Performing Art Center at 11:30-1:00pm.  Women Leading Kentucky is a non-membership organization, creating business and leadership networking opportunities for women at all stages of their careers, enabling them to lead, learn, achieve and give back.  

Their roundtables are where prominent Kentuckians are invited to speak and share professional/personal challenges and lessons learned. Their Fall 2015 kickoff event will be held at the EKU Performing Arts Center - Blackbox Theatre with Crit Luallen, Kentucky Lieutenant Governor as their guest speaker.  More info: (

September 14th: Our monthly meeting has been moved to 2nd Monday due to Labor Day with guest speaker, Beverly Clemons, an human resources specialist at CMI Consulting. The title is "Effective Human Resources Practices - Tips to Hiring a Motivated Team and Keeping them Motivated".  Beverly will share best practices and ideas for attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent for your organization as well as laws you need to be aware of when hiring … and firing.  It's FREE to attend. September 17th: Business Babes will be a vendor at City Fest on EKU Campus, Hosted by EKU Conferencing and Events and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. For the past twelve years this event has provided business the opportunity to market their products and/or services to EKU students, faculty, staff AND the entire community. This year promises to be better than ever with an anticipated audience of 3,000 people!  More info:

September 18-20th: Business Babes will have a booth at Spoonbread Festival in Berea KY. Come stop by our booth and enter your name in our drawing for a giveaway. You will want to come early and stay late  or possibly stay the entire weekend.  Each  day is filled with family fun, beginning Friday afternoon with a variety of exhibitors and culminating Friday night with free concerts in Memorial Park and the balloon glow. Saturday is an action packed day with more exhibits, Fun Park activities, 5K Run, tethered balloon rides, motorcycle show and free concerts in the park.  Sunday features more exhibits, a car show and family fun in the Fun Park.  For more information:
